Maritzburg College visited the Primo Big 10 champion, Hilton College, on Saturday for a rematch of the Jody Momplé Cup semi-final, which College won 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw.

Again, it was a tight game. College controlled possession in the early going and were rewarded with a goal from Sphelele Sibiya, who struck with a spectacular shot into the roof of the net. Hilton, though, found an equaliser just before halftime.

In the second half, Sibiya set up Lwandile Mkhize for College’s second, which proved to be the winner.

Competition was keen, with the majority of the matches being tightly contested, but College came away with 10 victories to Hilton’s five, while four games ended in draws.

Hilton won the u16A and u15A clashes, while College claimed the u14A win.
