Calling all high school photographers! Enter the “Documenting Our Lives” Photography Competition.
High school photographers across South Africa are encouraged to showcase their creativity in this year’s
Culture@Kearsney photographic competition.

Whether using an iPad, cellphone, tablet, or conventional camera, young photographers are encouraged to capture powerful moments that reflect everyday life, identity and community.
The competition is open to all high school learners and aims to celebrate visual storytelling through accessible technology.

The four categories are Up Close and Personal, My Inspiration, Architecture, and Reflections.
All images submitted must be original photographs taken between 1 September 2024 and 1 September 2025.
The entry fee of R120 allows entrants to submit three images in each category before the deadline on 1 September.

Entry details, guidelines and rules are on www.kearsney.com and no archival images will be accepted.
The competition forms part of the annual Culture@Kearsney programme – a dynamic celebration of the
vibrant arts scene in KZN schools.
The initiative supports and promotes the growth of young artists by enriching the development of the arts in all its forms.
The judging panel comprises independent leaders in the visual arts industry who have no affiliation to
Kearsney or any school which submits work.
