HOCKEY

DHS and Westville qualified for the quarterfinals of the Hibbert Shield, although both suffered losses in their pools. DHS were edged out 1-0 by Bishops, which was their first loss of 2024. Meanwhile, Paul Roos, coached by former DHS Director of Hockey, Michael Baker, easily accounted for Westville.

The game between DHS and Selborne College, who went into the game against the Horseflies with a record of 15 runs, one draw and one loss, was a cracker, producing nine goals, with only one goal separating the sides at the end.

Clifton, up against elite teams in Grey High and Paarl Gimnasium, were well beaten.
