BASKETBALL
In a big showdown in Durban on Saturday, the Westville Boys’ High 1st team gave a good account of itself, but Northwood, who had lost on their home court for the first time since 2020 the previous weekend against DHS, started a new home winning streak with a hard-fought six-point win.
Northwood claimed 14 wins to Westville’s nine, but it was close throughout the age groups. As an example, while Northwood won five of the six u14 matches, the average margin of victory was only 17-14.

CRICKET
The Knights did themselves proud in the Clifton T20, making it all the way through to the semi-finals before being stopped by the eventual winners, Waterkloof.
Rain, unfortunately, impacted five matches. Overall, though, Westville won 11 games, Northwood three, and the 4th XI contest ended in a tie.
While the u15A match was abandoned, the Westville u15A side, for the umpteenth time this season, bettered 300 runs with ease. They are a formidable unit.
