BASKETBALL
The Maritzburg College 1st team was subjected to a strong challenge from DHS in the Alan Paton Hall on Saturday. The visitors were intent on pulling off a win, especially after taking down Northwood at Northwood last weekend to end the Knights‘ six-year home winning streak.
It has been a very good season for College thus far, however, and they held off DHS to claim an 11-point victory, leaving them confident ahead of defending their home court in the Jenny Orchard Basketball Tournament on the coming weekend.
The Red, Black, and White enjoyed the better of the open age group clashes and the u15 games. It was all square at two apiece in the u14 matches.

CRICKET
Neither Maritzburg College nor DHS had a good run at the Clifton T20 Tournament. They ended up playing one another on the final day, with School winning on the Duckworth-Lewis-Sterne Method.
Most results favoured College, though, when the other teams met, and the Red, Black, and White were surely pleased with those achievements.

With the College 1st and 2nd teams in tournament action, they met DHS during the week.
College bossed the open age group games, DHS retaliated with a convincing win in the u15A clash, but College ran rampant at u14 level.
