Glenwood High buzzed on Saturday as the school hosted the first round of the Clover High Schools Sevens Series. Last year, KZN produced the national champion, Westville Boys’ High, and the national runner-up, Northwood, and both were in action on Saturday on the beautifully manicured Dixon’s Field.
Glenwood finished as the runner-up in the U15 competition, but was soundly beaten by Durban High School (DHS) in the title game, while the hosts exited the U17 event in the Cup semi-finals, losing to the eventual champion, Westville.|
Glenwood 2, though, lifted the Shield, comfortably dealing with Umlazi’s challenge (See feature photo).
