Kearsney College‘s teams had a quieter schedule during week three of the KZN Coastal Indoor Hockey League, with their 1st team beating Ashton Ballito 5-1 in the U18A League. In the U14A League, Kearsney suffered a slim 2-3 defeat against Glenwood.

Kearsney has consistently fielded among the largest number of football teams of any school in the third term. On Saturday, they had 26 in action, with 20 of those sides taking on Maritzburg College.
College is usually the school that organises extra matches to accommodate all their teams, but it was Kearsney who had to find games for their lower sides against other schools.
Playing at home, thanks to a brace from Simnene Khubeka, the Botha’s Hill boys secured a narrow 2-1 win over College in the 1st team match.
College’s U16A side, meanwhile, powered their way to a 4-0 victory. Kearsney won both the U15A and U14A matches, which were tightly contested.
Overall, Kearsney won 14 games, College won three, and three were drawn. The most extraordinary games of the day were in the lower U14 age group clashes, with Kearsney beating Maritzburg College 5-4 in the U14E game, and College beating Kearsney 6-5 in the U14F match.
Kearsney added another three wins and two draws to their record, plus a loss, in matches against Hillcrest High and Curro Hillcrest.
