Michaelhouse was expected to win on Saturday against Pretoria Boys High on the home side’s return to action on their home ground, Meadows. They duly delivered, turning a 25-7 halftime lead into an emphatic 53-17 victory.
‘House dominated the open age group, making a clean sweep of the eight matches, but Boys High won a hard-fought u16A match, and the u15A game was drawn 19-19. That was one of three draws, with the other two occurring in the u14 age group.
Overall, though, it was Michaelhouse’s day, with home teams picking up 13 wins. Pretoria Boys High claimed victory in five games.

Incredibly, the most common score was 3-2, with four matches ending in that score, all in favour of Michaelhouse. That was the result of the u16A match, while Boys High shaded the u14A game 1-0.
