BASKETBALL
While Michaelhouse‘s cricket teams engaged mostly in internal matches, some of the school’s basketball and wate polo headed to Gauteng.
The 1st basketball side did well to defeat St David’s Marist Inanda, but came up just short against ESCA, which has, arguably, proved to be the best team in the province thus far.
The u16A side went down to two narrow losses, while the u15A team went one and one. The Michaelhouse u14A team, though, dominated both St David’s and ESCA.

WATER POLO
The Michaelhouse 1st side faced three tough opponents on their trip to Gauteng. They were well beaten by St David’s Marist Inanda, who have emerged in the past couple of seasons as one of the top teams in the country.
There was only one goal in it against St Stithians, with Saints taking the win, while ‘House won comfortably against St Alban’s.
It was a superb tour for the Michaelhouse u15A side, which played four and won four, taking down St Alban’s, Pretoria Boys High, Affies, and St David’s Marist Inanda.
