Maritzburg College, on Monday, appointed their 1st team captains for the forthcoming winter season of sport.
The College 1st football team had a first run out late last week and opened their season with a 2-0 victory over Westville Boys’ High, one of the better teams of recent seasons. Mateo Horstead (left, in photo) will lead the side.
Cricket and hockey captain
Bryn Brokensha (centre, in photo), having skippered the College 1st XI cricket team to a strong season, and excelled with both bat and ball, will next shift his leadership skills to the hockey Astroturf, taking change of the Red Army.
And Head Prefect Sasha Kadira (right, in photo), fresh off an impressive athletics season, leads the College 1st XV. Highly regarded, he has previously represented KZN Schools and will be be one to watch in the College loose trio.
