Six players from Maritzburg College, five from Michaelhouse, and five from Hilton College make up the KZN Inland U18A side to contest the SASHOC National u18 Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) at the familiar Astros of Hilton College from Sunday, 28 June, to Saturday, 4 July.
The team will be coached by Michaelhouse’s Nic Bérichon, with Mark Sanders, from Maritzburg College, serving as the assistant coach. Mfundo Gumede, from Hilton, is the strength and conditioning trainer, and Michaelhouse’s Sihle Ngcongo is the team’s manager.
Four players – Viwe Ndlovu, Andile Lembethe, Thandanani Zuma (feature photo), and Ben Heuer – represented the KZN Inland u18A side last year. Tadi Hove was also in the team but is included in the KZN Inland u18B team this time around.
Ndlovu, Lembethe, and Zuma represented South Africa u17 at the Dato Mirnawan Cup in Malaysia in November 2025, helping the team to a fourth-place finish.
In 2025, KZN Inland A finished ninth at the IPT, a disappointing outcome. They’ll surely be a tougher contender this time around.
