CRICKET
While the Clifton T20 Tournament delivered another thrilling weekend of cricket, which concluded, for Clifton and Glenwood, with Kamo Moloto batting the Green Machine to a win, the schools’ other teams also clashed.
One of the highlights of the event was Clifton’s 77-run win over St John’s College (Harare) on Saturday, with the entire College turning out to support their 1t XI (See feature photo from Clifton Facebook page).
Clifton recorded three wins to Glenwood’s two in Saturday’s games. In the tightest contest of the day, the Glenwood u16B side won a nail-biter by two runs.

WATER POLO
Clifton College’s 2nd team showed off the depth of the Durban school’s powerhouse water polo programme by putting together an unbeaten run to win the Logan Stanley Tournament at Northwood.
Their results included two hard-fought wins over Hilton College – once in round-robin action and again in the final.

The u14A team experienced mixed results at the Pitcairn Boys Tournament in the Western Cape, where water polo is in fantastic health in all age groups.

BASKETBALL
There was little to separate the Glenwood and Clifton 1st teams, with only four points in it at the end as Glenwood tasted victory. Clifton responded with wins in the other two open age group games.
Glenwood edged out Clifton by a single point in the u16A match, won the u15A game by six, and the u14A contest by one.
