The Glenwood 1st XI faced Kearsney College on Dixon’s Field on Saturday in a match that was about standing together for Football against Femicide.
The event, which also featured a match between Durban Girls’ High School (DGHS) and St Mary’s DSG (Kloof), also supported breast cancer awareness and the Jes Foord Foundation.
In front of a big crowd, Kearsney staged a late fightback to force a penalty shootout after trailing 0-2 until 12 minutes from time. The visitors then won 4-2 from the spot.
DGHS, meanwhile, beat St Mary’s 2-0.

INDOOR HOCKEY
Both Kearsney and Glenwood provided finalists in the KZN Coastal Indoor Hockey League, with Kearsney facing DHS in the U18 title game and Glenwood taking on the same opposition in the U14 final. Unfortunately for both, DHS won both games.
