HILTON COLLEGE VS WESTVILLE BOYS’ HIGH
Hilton College and Westville Boys’ High duked it out on the football field on Saturday and the open age group delivered outstanding entertainment,
Westville won the 1st XI match 2-1, and the 2nd XI game ended in a 1-1 draw. The other five open age group matches produced 31 goals, with the largest margin of victory in those games being just two goals.
Westville also picked up hard-fought win in the u16A, u15A, and u14A matches on a day of very competitive contests.

KEARSNEY VS MICHAELHOUSE

With 27 teams taking to the field, the popularity of football was underlined in bold when Kearsney and Michaelhouse clashed.
Connor McNeil gave Kearsney the lead in the 1st XI match, but ‘House struck back and snatched a winner late in the game. The Balgowan boys also claimed victory in the u16A, u15A, and u14A matches, but Kearsney showed up well lower down, with their depth coming through strongly.

CLIFTON COLLEGE VS NORTHWOOD
The Northwood 1st XI endured a tough time in the Mancosa KZN High School Football Association’s Second Term League. However, towards the end, they found their form. They appear to have reversed their fortunes and are on an upward trajectory, playing some very good football recently.
On Saturday, at the Riverside Sports Club, they hit their stride, romping to a surprisingly comfortable 6-1 win over a decent Clifton College team.
It was very much Northwood’s day, but Clifton’s u14 teams showed up well in three very competitive matches.

MARITZBURG COLLEGE VS HILLCREST HIGH
Maritzburg College, the Mancosa KZNHSFA Inland Second Term champions, hosted Hillcrest High, the runner-up in the Mancosa KZNHSFA Coastal Second Term League, for a showdown between two strong sides.
It was the College 1st XI’s day, with goals from Mazithi Qasha, Sphelele Sibiya and Thubelihle Myeni securing a convincing 3-0 victory.
Hillcrest showed their quality, however, by holding College to draws in the u16A, u15A, and u14A matches.
