The KZN Coastal indoor hockey leagues roared full steam ahead in its second week, with Clifton College catching the eye in the U18 A League.
Featuring three players who received national indoor hockey colours in 2025 – Ryde Brisset (SA u18A, feature photo), Georg Wolhuter (SA u18A), and Tye Milne (SA u18B) – and coached by national women’s coach, Calvin Price, Clifton is a serious contender.
They proved it with two impressive victories over strong opposition, beating Westville Boys’ High 6-0 and Kearsney College 6-1.
Glenwood High played to a 2-2 draw with Kearsney and subsequently defeated Ashton Ballito 5-1.
In the U16A league, among other results, Northwood scored a tight 2-0 win over Kearsney, Westville handed Clifton a 6-1 loss, and Durban High School (DHS) drew 2-2 with Westville.
DHS edged out Westville 4-3 in a big U14A clash, while Northwood got by Kearsney 5-4. They also added a 4-2 win over Clifton to their record.
